NXP -50

Fomtec NXP -50 is a new generation of premixed fire fighting agents. It combines excellent extinction properties with low usage temperature. The freezing point is at -50°C.The fire performance is excellent on both Class A and Class B fires. It can be used with a wide range of foam generators, like nozzles and sprinkler heads.Due to its unique properties with combined low pour point, excellent fire performance and good shelf life it can be stored and installed in cold areas.

Fire performance & Foaming

Fomtec NXP -50 has been designed to give the best properties of:

  • Aqueous film forming foam
  • Class A fire extinguishing agent

The foaming properties are depending on the foam discharge device. Typical values with a UNI 86 foam nozzle give an expansion index of about 6:1 and a 25% drainage time of about 15 minutes.

Proportioning

Fomtec NXP -50 is a ready-made premix and should be used as supplied without any dilution.

Environmental

Fomtec NXP -50 is formulated using raw materials specially selected for their fire performance and their environmental profile. The product is non-toxic, biodegradable and each individual component is fully tested and documented.
Our fluorine containing products are formulated with C6 short-chain fluorinated surfactants have been tested by independent laboratories for PFOS and PFOA impurities. The results show that the level of PFOS and PFOA in our foam concentrates are below the detection limit of 20 ppb of the analysis method. This means that these foam concentrates are in accordance with US EPA Stewardship Programme 2010/15, EU Directive 2006/122/EC, amended Council Directive 76/769/EEC and EU commission regulation 2017/1000. They are also in compliance with the C6 purity compliant definition in the Queensland Department of Environmental and Heritage Protec-tions Operational Policy on the Environmental Management of Firefighting Foam.
